London Unfolded... #CocorosingIt in Stratford

London. As one of the world’s most vibrant and cosmopolitan cities, it’s no wonder that our capital is a source of inspiration, from technology and entrepreneurial start-ups to art, fashion and film. Drawing on our own London roots, we’ve named each of our shoes after some of our favourite areas, from Bayswater to Shoreditch and Kensington to Hampstead. Let us take you on a tour of London with the latest in our series of blog posts that will explore the different areas our city has to offer. We hope we will inspire you to pick up your Oyster card, slip on your Cocorose shoes and see what our amazing city has to offer you. #LondonUnfolded

High tea may not be the first thing that springs to mind when you think of Stratford in London's east end. But since the major overhaul of this postcode, courtesy of the 2012 summer Olympic and Paralympic Games, high tea is exactly what you can have here.

Three years on from the highly successful Games, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park remains hugely popular, with Londoners, tourists and athletes enjoying the stadiums, meadows, walkways and wetlands. The park boasts a number of iconic venues such as the Olympic Stadium and Aquatic Centre built to host the games but none are quite as easily recognisable as the ArcelorMittal Orbit.

This red, looping steel structure, created by Sir Anish Kapoor and designed by Cecil Balmond, is the tallest sculpture in Britain, stretching to 114.5m. The views from its observation deck reach 20 miles beyond the Olympic Park; a perfect place to see the park and many of London's iconic buildings.

This autumn and for a limited time only, high tea is being served at the Orbit, 80m above London's skyline. What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Just don't forget your Cocoroses for a post-tea walk around the park.

Happy Cocorosing!

xx
