Spotlight On - Birds of a Feather Constantia
Birds of a Feather Constantia is our latest and first stockist in sunny South Africa. The lady that owns this unique and unrivalled store goes to describe her shop as 'My favourite things because it's filled with things I love'. We have up caught with the lady of this beautiful store to see what inspires her and the atmosphere she has created. Cocorose - How would you define your store? 'My buying criteria is simple - the product must be beautiful of the highest quality and unique. I like to think that my customers are inspired by a visit to my shop, whether they make a purchase or simply browse.' Cocorose - What makes 'Birds of a Feather' unique? 'The shop is situated in the beautiful Constantia valley surrounded by mountains and vineyards. The products are sourced from all over the world and most of the products in the shop are unique to 'Birds of a feather' and are not found elsewhere in South Africa. I am the sole supplier of the 'Caspari' range, the 'Ortigia' range of fragrance products and now the wonderful 'Cocorose' ballet pumps!' Cocorose - What are your favourite 'Cocorose London' foldable ballet pumps? 'I love my pistachio 'Westminsters' - they work with almost everything. Then again I am mad about my 'Halle' leopard print pumps - perfect with jeans and I just adore the emerald green 'Buckinghams', they are gorgeous and just add that extra wow to any outfit.'
Cocorose - Where would you wear your Cocorose London foldable ballet pumps? 'I wear them in the shop as they are so comfortable and I couldn't have done without them on my recent travels. In fact I cannot think when I would not wear Cocorose ballet pumps! They are stylish, functional and small enough to keep in my bag. They will most definitely come in very handy during the many up and coming South African summer weddings!' Cocorose - Are there any New/Exclusive products/items you will be stocking Christmas 2012? 'Of course! I have an exquisite range of Cocoroses!! In addition I am expecting an Italian shipment of gorgeous Italian ceramics marquetry picture frames as well as many wonderful local products such as the quirky 'Julia Baillie' range of linen and mud ceramics.'
