A Sweet Victory: Cocorose London Wins The Regional Micro Business Award
At the beginning of March, Cocorose London was awarded the Regional Micro Business Award for the prestigious FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards 2024 in London! This victory is not just a sweet win for us, but a celebration of every one of you who is such an integral part of our journey.
The FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards celebrate the very best small businesses from across the country, offering national recognition for those who have made the biggest impression over the last 12 months.
So you can imagine how excited I was to receive the email confirming our regional win! It felt like a burst of sunshine on a cloudy day; a validation of the countless hours, hard graft, and dedication we pour into building our labour of love each and every minute.
To be recognised by FSB and their esteemed judges for our efforts is an honour that fills me with immense pride and is an absolutely fantastic pick-me-up to keep us going strong!
Michael Lassman, FSB London Regional Chair, perfectly captured the essence of this recognition when he said, "Congratulations to all this year’s London FSB Celebrating Small Business Award winners. They are reflective of the vibrancy, innovation, and tenacity that make up our small business community." These words resonate deeply with us because they perfectly encapsulate the spirit of Cocorose London – a brand built on vibrancy, innovation, and tenacity.
The journey of Cocorose London over the past seventeen years and into 2024 has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. From navigating the ever-changing landscape of the fashion industry to overcoming the challenges of running a small business, we've experienced our fair share of highs and lows. But through it all, one thing has remained constant – the unwavering support and love from our community of Cocorosers, for whom we are ever so grateful for.
On the 26th of March, we were formally presented with our award during an enchanting Afternoon Tea. Gareth and I found ourselves in the heart of our vibrant city, surrounded by the awe-inspiring skyline. The venue for the Afternoon Tea reception was none other than the stunning office spaces of Markel Law in The Fenchurch Building, also known as the Walkie-Talkie. The views were simply breathtaking, and we couldn’t help but feel inspired by our own journey that led us here.
As we mingled with fellow entrepreneurs and savoured the delights of the delicious afternoon tea, sponsored by the wonderful folks at Tyl by NatWest, the excitement in the air was palpable. Winning the FSB Regional Micro Business Award was so exciting - a dream come true - amidst the clinking of glasses and laughter.
As much as we relished the moment, reality and duty called. Parenthood beckoned, and we had to make a swift exit to pick up our little ones, Elin from school and Eren from nursery. The juxtaposition of business and family life is something Gareth and I are intimately familiar with, and it never fails to keep us grounded.
Reflecting on the day's events, we couldn’t help but wish we could transport every one of you to experience the magic firsthand. Your unwavering support has been the driving force behind Cocorose London's journey, and we are immensely grateful for every one of you.
