Ballet Flats Are Back! Here’s Why

black leather ballet flats with square toe
Hello Cocorosers 💗

So, are ballet flats back in fashion? Or, as Julia asked the other day on social media, "Does this mean feet are going dainty again?!"

The simple answer is YES, ballet flats are definitely having their moment in the spotlight. We've been talking about the resurgence of the ballet flat over the past couple of years but it's only been this year that we've really started seeing their popularity back on the rise. When I saw my teenage niece rocking a pair the other day, I must admit it felt like the earth had moved!

So, am I surprised? Not at all. Having been in the footwear industry for a good decade and a half, I can see the solid movement towards comfort coupled with style, practicality and purpose. This is great news for trainer lovers worldwide, as trainers won't wane, but ballet flats are definitely making their stylish return, embraced for their comfort, versatility and elegant silhouettes.

Thank you, as ever, for your support and sending you lots of love,
Janan & Team Cocorose xx

BARNES BLACK

I love how these Barnes Black flats lend a contemporary look and feel to the classic ballet flat with their squared toes. Plus the black pairs so well with the pop of colour, making them ideal to wear across a plethora of outfits. Bonus: with a soft and cushioned Achilles heel, there's no pinching or nasty nipping on the backs of your ankles either!

SO PRETTY

Whether for work or play, you won't go wrong with a pair of these little black flats. They're timeless, versatile and, given they're Cocorose, are indulgently cushioned and so, so comfortable.

THIS IS HOW YOU COCOROSE IT

I love seeing pictures of how you Cocorose It and this week I'm highlighting;

Last week, Katie and I attended the Hustle Awards gala evening. Sadly, we didn't win (but we did get a fantastic shout out from comedian Doc Brown who was suitably impressed with our Kew range of vegan trainers!). I wore my favourite Hoxton Studded Navy trainers along with a LBD;

Rachel @rachelo10 wore her Kew Rojo Stripes vegan trainers to Alexandra Palace's Kaleidoscope festival this summer and loved them;

And finally, I can't get enough of the studded Hoxton trainers. Here's my original sample - in gold leather - and I've been wearing them non-stop ALL year. They really are my go-to trainers.
