This is just one of the queries that I've seen on social media relating to our Kew collection of vegan trainers, so I thought it would be worth addressing.
Traditionally, ‘vegan leather’ has been an oil based material, so Jill was absolutely right to think it would be plastic. However, innovation in materials has recently enabled huge strides to be taken in creating sustainable, vegan options using plant-based leathers. Our Kew collection is made using leaves from the prickly pear cactus plant and also incorporates recycled materials to create a responsible vegan alternative.
