Celebrating 17 Years of Cocorose: Our Journey from Market Stalls to Global Recognition
Hello Cocorosers 💗
How do I even begin to summarise 17 years of Cocorose? So many memories. So many moments. From a single spark of an idea, I started this business as my side hustle whilst still holding down my full-time job, to pay my bills and fund my entrepreneurial dreams.
On the weekends, I had a little stall at the markets in East London and from there, I went on to show my collections at trade shows all over the world. We've been honoured to collaborate with the very best of British, including BAFTA, The Royal Ballet and Liberty Art Fabrics. I was invited by former PM David Cameron to represent UK small businesses at the Milan Expo and we've featured in numerous, international media over the years.
Seventeen years on, my vision remains to empower women through purposeful products. From pioneering the foldable shoe to our latest breakthrough in sustainable footwear with plant-based leather and recycled materials, innovation has been our driving force. Our quintessential, entrepreneurial journey hasn't been without its challenges and we continue to draw strength and resilience from your incredible cheer-leading support and encouragement. Showtime!
Last week, I had the pleasure of sponsoring and attending Brand You magazine's Showtime event, which was dedicated to female entrepreneurs. I displayed a selection of our shoes and LOVED seeing the panellists wearing their Cocorose trainers on stage!
