In Katherine's Shoes
In Your Shoes
We're often asked, "Who is the Cocorose Woman"? But the truth is, our customers aren't a marketing persona and so we don't just have one. Our campaign "In Your Shoes" tells the wonderful stories of our Cocorosers, from all walks of life and from all around the world. Strong, beautiful and completely unique - we can't wait to introduce you to each other.

For the past seven years, we've taken part in the Spirit of Christmas fair in London, where we've had the opportunity to showcase and sell our beautiful shoes and meet lots of you, our Cocorosers, many of whom we've formed wonderful friendships with.
I first met Katherine at the Spirit of Christmas fair many years ago. She was visiting with her mum when she came across all of the shoes on our display and the rest, as they say, is history. Or rather, perhaps it's more fitting to say that this was the beginning of Katherine's beautiful Cocorose journey. When I asked Katherine about that day when she chanced upon Cocorose, she was quick to say that she had been searching for foldable shoes that were comfortable and stylish. Prior to discovering Cocorose, she recalls the foldable shoes she saw were "flimsy, uncomfortable and the designs left much to be desired."
That day at the fair, Katherine bought her first pair of Cocorose shoes and her 'obsession' for them has grown - as has her necessity to tell everyone about them! Her first few pairs were black (always black!) as she says she was never adventurous with shoe colours. However, how excited am I to hear that black is no longer the staple colour of Katherine's shoedrobe?! The vibrant colours lured her in and she now has a stunning collection of 21 pairs, in 12 different colours, all proudly displayed on her fabulous 'Cocorose Wall.'

I asked what is it, that she loves so much about her Cocorose shoes? "High heels have been shunned, and comfort has returned! Be it a lunch, dinner, meeting, wedding or walk down to the shops, my Cocorose shoes are always with me come rain or shine and are the first to go in my suitcase when I go on holiday!"
Katherine's two favourite styles are her Clapham White Laser Cut loafers which are "the perfect summer shoe - comfortable, airy, beautiful and they go with everything" - and her vibrant Chelsea Blue and Orange ballerinas which were her first bold colour choice. I may need to consider bringing both of these styles back but for now, it's comforting to know that Katherine has two pairs of each, just in case... phew!
Family is important, which is just as well, because they're a big bunch! "There are currently 13 of us (mum, dad, 3 brothers, 1 sister, 1 brother and 1 sister in law, 3 nieces and 1 nephew - oh, and our family dog Poppy, the toy poodle) - so there's always something going on!" The family love getting together every Thursday over Japanese food and, because it's almost the weekend, "spirits are high and everyone's looking forward to their plans!"

Although in Katherine's case, weekend plans may indeed involve a lot of studying. She's incredibly bright and she works so incredibly hard too. She studied Law followed by a LPC MSc Law, Business and Management, then did a few years in work and now she's back to the books and currently studying for an MSc in Psychology.
Thankfully, it's not all about Freud and Katherine makes time for downtime. To help recharge, she likes nothing more than escaping the city mid-week for the fresh outdoors of the countryside and playing a spot of polo. Nice!
And of course, on the off chance that it may rain (because, you know, this is England), music is very much food for her recharge. Classical, musical theatre or 90s pop, she loves it all. In fact, Katherine attended the Royal College of Music Junior Department (first study violinist, joint second piano and voice) but now it's all about playing the piano for entertainment and singing along to her favourite songs in the car. And yes, she admits... "I get some very strange looks!"
Katherine, trust me when I say that you are definitely not alone on this one!
Happy Cocorosing xx
