Mandatory Face Coverings When Visiting The Shops

It's the news many of us were expecting, and it was just a matter of time.

Tonight, Boris announced that from the 24th of July, face coverings must be worn in shops and supermarkets.

Children under 11 and people with certain disabilities will be exempt.

In Scotland, the requirement came into force last week, further fanning the flames that Boris' government has been slow to react. It is also a legal requirement to wear a face mask in other major European countries such as Italy, Germany and Spain 

Wearing a face mask or face covering has been mandatory on public transport in England since the 15th of June.
