Our 2022 Aspirations | Happy New Year | New Year's Resolutions

Hello Cocorosers 💗

Welcome 2022! As we've crossed the bridge into the new year, I'm filled with excitement and optimism and look forward to sharing with you some of our Aspirations for the coming months.

I find the time between Christmas and New Year to be a very welcome lull and I enjoy just mulling things over whilst I potter about. This downtime gives me the chance to reflect on lots of things, both positive and constructive; to heal any wounds that I may have gathered throughout the year and to think ahead and plan what it is that I'd like to achieve in the coming year. All this whilst gently easing back into reality and quite frankly, never knowing what day of the week it is!🤣

During this most recent downtime, my thoughts circled around what our New Year Aspirations might be. I thought about what we feel incredibly passionate about and what I'd like us to bring to fruition.

For many of you who have been with us over the past couple of years, you'll know that the three little words, Love, Kindness and Togetherness, carry a lot of weight behind them. And now, we've given them even more meaning, as we build a framework of purpose around each word and continue to weave each into our evolving story.

Togetherness -

💫 We cannot do what we do without our incredible supply partners. We've been working together with our main shoe partner for over a decade and together, we've ridden out so many storms, including the Lehman Brothers crash and more recently, Brexit and Covid-19. We will continue to support our supply partners to hand-craft in regular, small batch productions throughout the year, ensuring team stability and sustainability, not just of product, but of work force too.

Kindness -

💫 I'm currently working on a new range of footwear made using recycled plastics. I'm really excited about this and, although there's still a lot of work to be done on it, I'm committed to getting stuck in and getting this project off the ground.

💫 We're working on a new Recycle and Refill scheme, whereby we will recycle your Cocorose shoes and refill your Cocorose candle vessels and bottles of hand sanitiser spray, lotion and hand wash. Hopefully, we're close to getting this launched, so please do watch this space!

💫 Many of you will already be aware that we Partnered with Ecologi last year to begin our initiative of Planting a Tree for Every Order we receive and of course, this will carry right on.

💫 Again, many of you will be aware of our partnership with The Honeypot Children's Charity and the support they provide to young carers between the ages of 5-12 years old. Through the sales of our face masks and Hoxton rainbow trainers, together we have been able to help raise around £30k for these incredibly brave and inspirational children. We will continue to help raise vital funds for The Honeypot Children's Charity and the important work they do to support young children's physical, emotional and mental health.

💫 With all the important work and development projects that we're doing, it is essential that we continue to build on our charity partnership programme for this year.

And finally, thank you all for your messages. Poor little Elin got chicken pox on Christmas Eve so we've been battling it since. It's now run its course so we're in the final (scabby!) stages of it now.
