We Won Gold and Silver at the Best Businesswomen Awards
We Won! This is me, at the prestigious and national Best Businesswomen Awards gala evening last Friday, celebrating our triumphant Gold and Silver awards. We won Gold for Best Customer Service and Silver for Most Inspiring Business Woman. For me, and I know for so many other small businesses, the recognition of winning is testament of our team's achievements, but it also recognises the relentless dedication required to keep a small business going, especially in today's tumultuous economic climate.
The independent judging panel made my heart soar when they said that I "clearly place customers at the heart of Cocorose London. There is acute attention to detail, not only to products, but to the entire experience of purchasing from Cocorose. This is consistently evident in customer feedback. This is an amazing company, striving to offer the very best of the best footwear allied to total customer satisfaction.”
Every step of this journey has been about delivering more than just beautiful shoes—it’s about creating an experience that makes our Cocorosers feel happy, confident and empowered. Your feedback, encouragement and loyalty are why I strive to make Cocorose London the best it can be, from our products to the overall customer experience.
WHY THIS WIN MATTERS
The Best Businesswomen Awards celebrate female entrepreneurs who stand out in their industries and who are examples of perseverance and resilience. To be recognised alongside such strong, passionate women is a huge honour. As Debbie Gilbert, organiser of the Awards said, “This is the 10th year of these prestigious awards, and despite tough trading conditions businesses have faced over the past few years, these businesswomen have powered forwards."

WHAT I WORE
There could be no stone left unturned for such a glamorous occasion. I opted for a sequinned black and gold, 20's inspired fringed frock and paired it with star-studded headbands and my Hoxton Rose Gold Rainbow trainers. I particularly loved the flashes of gold on the trainers, which worked perfectly with the dress and decor ✨
OUR JOURNEY
For those of you who have been with us from the beginning, you’ll know how far we’ve come. We started in 2007 with our signature foldable shoes, designed to offer comfort and style on the go. Since then, we’ve expanded our collection with hybrid, leather ballet flats and luxuriously comfortable fashion trainers, perfect from work to weekends. And in 2023, we reached a new milestone by launching our plant-powered vegan trainers made from cactus leather and recycled materials. 🌱 I’m incredibly proud of our Kew collection, which offers women a responsible, vegan alternative to non-leather shoes, without sacrificing style or comfort.
This has been a real team effort, with you included, and I'm incredibly grateful for your ongoing support and loyalty, whether you're new to Cocorose or have been on this journey with us since the beginning. From day one, we’ve built real, human relationships with our Cocorosers, listening to your feedback and ensuring our products reflect what you truly need. Winning Best Customer Service shows that this approach makes a difference, and I couldn’t be more thankful for your continued support.
The past decade has been nothing short of jumping through hoops, and that’s why winning awards is so important. Recognition, awareness, and credibility can make a huge difference to small businesses like ours. It validates our products, builds trust with customers, and brings more visibility to our work. These awards also boost our team's morale - and, from the heartfelt messages received from many of you lovely people - creates a shared sense of pride between all of us in the Cocorose Family.
Last year, we won Gold for Best Product at the Best Businesswomen Awards 2023, and adding Gold for Best Customer Service this year makes for an incredible duo win. We're also so proud to have recently won the FSB Regional Micro Business Award for London and I am very honoured to have been recognised by Small Business Britain's F:Entrepreneur #iAlso100 campaign which highlights 100 of the UK's top female entrepreneurs.

WHAT'S NEXT?
As we move forward, I’m already diving into designing our next collections, prepping for Christmas gifting, and dreaming up new innovations for 2025. Alongside that, I’ll be talking to our overseas wholesale customers and continuing to support other businesswomen. And, of course, balancing it all with school runs and life as a mum of two little ones! 👩👧👦
